[edit] Access Control

For running Genea, a user doesn't need write access to the application directory. Each file that is changed (such as the database file) will be copied to the user's data directory (in My Documents\Genea) and is edited there.

[edit] Settings

Settings are written to the file genea.conf. If this is deleted, Genea will use the default settings. When settings are changed within the application, Genea will create or update the file with the necessary information.
